Jay-Z : Decoded

You can now add author to Jay-Z's track record! His first book "Decoded" hit shelves today. The 336 pages explain meaning and the stories behind many of his infamous lyrics. Decoded is not only being published as a hardcover (Spiegel & Grau) but as an eBook as well. Peep an excerpt from the book the NY Post had published about Jay's experience smoking with Biggie:

Biggie made a cameo appearance in the 1996 video for “Ain’t no N - - - a,” which Jay-Z was filming with Foxy Brown in Miami just when he started to break. Jay-Z says he looked down on smoking pot as counterproductive, and only did so on vacation. “I could count the number of times I’d smoked trees,” he writes. But when Big asked him to smoke, he said to himself, “Relax, you’re not on the streets anymore.” So he smoked, and got stoned out of his mind just before the video started shooting. Laughing at his formerly sober friend, Biggie leaned in and whispered in Jay-Z’s ear: “I got ya.” It took Jay-Z 20 minutes in his room to gather his wits. Later he told his friend: “Never again my n - - - a.”

Hooked on Blue!

Some Fridays I like to dance until 2am and have a few drinks, others I enjoy staying home in my snuggie and watching the new drama Blue Bloods on CBS! Huge fan of Law & Order SVU and now I have added this series to my DVR. Blue Bloods is based on a multi-generational family who is dedicated to New York Law Enforcement. The Reagans defend and protect NY to the fullest and end every episode together having a family dinner. Hits close to home because my big bro is a cop and I pray nightly for him to always return home safely (mushy I know). Check Blue Bloods out Friday nights at 10:00pm on CBS! Trust, you'll be hooked on blue too!

Halloween 2010

I didn't care to post these pics but the ladies thought it was a must!! No one gets down on Halloween the way my friends and I do -- Friday night I pulled out anything and everything tacky (including that mop of a wig!) and put it all together for my Shanaynay from Martin Costume. Saturday night we did it big with the group costume - Jamaican Bobsled team from Cool Runnings . Won us a few bucks too . Hell of Halloween weekend haha
